Care Guide

Keep your UGGAUS footwear looking and feeling its best

Care Guide
UGGAUS boots, slippers and shoes are made with materials designed for comfort, warmth and everyday wear. With the right care, your footwear can stay soft, clean and beautiful for longer.

Natural materials such as sheepskin, suede, leather and wool lining need gentle care. Avoid harsh cleaning methods and always allow your footwear to dry naturally.

1. General care tips

  • Keep your footwear away from heavy rain, deep water and excessive moisture.
  • Brush suede gently with a soft suede brush after wear.
  • Allow wet footwear to dry naturally in a cool, shaded area.
  • Do not place UGG boots or slippers near heaters, fireplaces or direct sunlight.
  • Store your footwear in a dry, well-ventilated place.
  • Use care products suitable for suede, leather or sheepskin materials.

2. How to clean suede

Suede should be cleaned gently to protect its soft texture.

First, let the footwear dry completely if it is damp. Use a suede brush to remove loose dirt and restore the surface. For small marks, use a suede eraser or a clean damp cloth with light pressure.

Do not soak suede or scrub it heavily, as this may damage the surface.

3. How to care for sheepskin

Sheepskin is naturally soft, warm and breathable. To keep it comfortable, avoid excessive water and harsh chemicals.

If the outer surface becomes dirty, lightly brush away dust and marks. If the lining needs freshening, allow the footwear to air out naturally. Do not machine wash or tumble dry sheepskin footwear.

4. How to care for leather

Leather may be wiped gently with a clean, slightly damp cloth. Allow it to dry naturally, then apply a suitable leather care product if needed.

Avoid using strong detergents, bleach or alcohol-based cleaners, as they may dry out or damage the leather.

5. Caring for wool linings

Wool and warm linings may flatten slightly with regular wear. This is normal.

To keep the inside fresh, air your footwear after use and avoid wearing damp socks. For odour control, allow the lining to dry fully before storing.

6. Sole care

Remove dirt from the outsole with a soft brush or damp cloth. Avoid soaking the sole in water. For outdoor-friendly styles, clean the outsole regularly to maintain grip and comfort.

7. What to avoid

  • Do not machine wash.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not soak in water.
  • Do not use bleach or harsh detergent.
  • Do not dry with direct heat.
  • Do not store in damp areas.

8. Protect before wearing

For best results, we recommend applying a suitable suede or sheepskin protector before first wear. Always test any care product on a small hidden area first and follow the instructions on the product label.
