UGGAUS was founded by James Wilson, carrying forward a family legacy in sheepskin footwear that dates back to 1980.

The story began in The Rocks, Sydney, where James’s father made sheepskin boots and footwear by hand in a small workshop. Growing up around the craft, James developed an early interest in sheepskin and the making of quality footwear.

As James grew older, he saw an opportunity to take that heritage further. He founded UGGAUS with a vision to bring the experience and character of traditional sheepskin footwear to a wider audience.

5. Our workshop today

UGGAUS is still connected to its original craft foundation.

Today, our production workshop includes more than 50 skilled workers and three leading designers who help shape each collection with care, experience and attention to detail. From material selection to product development, our team works to ensure every UGGAUS product meets the quality expectations of modern Australian customers.

We currently operate one product showroom in Sydney, while focusing primarily on online distribution to serve customers across Australia more efficiently.
