UGGAUS was founded in 2013 by Drake Richard, carrying forward a family craft that began long before the brand itself. Its roots trace back to a small Australian boots workshop in The Rocks, Sydney, established in 1998 by Drake’s father, Oliver Richard.

As the third son of Oliver Richard, Drake grew up around leather, sheepskin, patterns, soles and the quiet discipline of shoemaking. After his father passed away, he inherited the family workshop and began shaping a new chapter. In 2013, that legacy became UGGAUS.

Today, UGGAUS continues to honour the spirit of Australian UGG footwear while developing modern styles for everyday comfort, warmth and timeless wear.

1. Our story

Before UGGAUS became an online destination for Australian UGG products, it was a working boots workshop in Sydney. For years, the workshop focused on practical, durable footwear made for real Australian lifestyles.

Drake Richard saw an opportunity to preserve that hands-on tradition while making quality UGG boots, slippers and accessories more accessible to customers across Australia. UGGAUS was created with a simple purpose: to offer well-made Australian-style UGG products that combine comfort, quality materials and fair pricing.

From classic boots to soft slippers, everyday footwear and seasonal accessories, every UGGAUS collection is built around warmth, practicality and the relaxed character of Australian living.

UGGAUS is still connected to its original craft foundation.

Today, our production workshop includes more than 50 skilled workers and three leading designers who help shape each collection with care, experience and attention to detail. From material selection to product development, our team works to ensure every UGGAUS product meets the quality expectations of modern Australian customers.

We currently operate one product showroom in The Rocks, Sydney, while focusing primarily on online distribution to serve customers across Australia more efficiently.
